I am traveling to Prague next week
Can someone recommend a good shop somewhere not too far from the center where I can get films in case I run out of stock?
thanks!

Sure : Foto Skoda and Foto Pazdera, both located on Narodni Trida, at five minutes walking from the bottom of Vaclavske Namesti (subway stanice : Müstek). They will have all films available, at normal prices.
Foto Skoda is on the right, and Foto Pazdera on the left, at the entrance of the (superb) Lucerna gallery.
BTW, look up : tons of paintings by Alfons Mucha on the walls between Müstek and where you'll go.

Great, thanks.
I will check it on Open Street Maps and try to remember, for emergency.
I was in Copenhagen recently and had to run, on saturday 1 pm to find b&w film; that was not so easy, so I just wanted to be prepared.

Best thing is to leave home with a large bunch of films in your cabin luggage (if you travel by plane). Throwing away all boxes and canisters will save some space and weight.

Foto Skoda is one of the best photo stores I've ever seen. Almost any camera available they have on stock and they also have a large 2nd hand section.
