Travelling to NYC. Camera shops open on the sabbath?

Hi,

I'm travelling to NYC on Jan 14th, which is a Saturday. To my knowledge shops like BH Photovideo are closed due to the Jewish sabbath. Are there any other big stores that are open on a Saturday, that are worth visiting.

I'm on a 7-hour stop over between London & Las Vegas, hoping to buy some Leica- and some Canon-glass (DSLR).

Photovillage lists their Saturday hours as 12-5, not a large shop, but a great person and a sponsor of RFF.

You could also look up Mel Levy in Las Vegas, but I haven't heard from him in a while.

I was afraid that was the case. I had heard he was ill. Thru the years, I bought some items from him, and he even bought something from me once. If you were in the mood to chat, he'd talk your ear off for an hour or more. He was so nice to me, that even if I didn't have the time, I didn't have the heart to cut him off.
