Trent Parke: Minutes to Midnight and The Christmas Tree Bucket in stock!

Ich habe kürzlich gekauft: 'Minutes to Midnight' von Trent Parke
www.amazon.de

Which I presume means "OK you are lucky even though you had to pay more than the Amazon price but then they never deliver" or close to that. Good job these sites are laid out the same, I have no German to speak of.

Very grateful for the link, UK still showing O/S.

I ordered my copies from Steidl through Amazon.de, and they were shipped within an hour or two. No tracking number, but I received them within ten days or so.

Good day,
We would like to inform you herewith that Steidl has shipped your order.

That's under an hour, not being competitive

Don't worry, I'm all set :)

You can't say Magnum aren't financially savvy!!

This book will be shipped starting January 13, 2014.
Price will increase as stock sells out.
A maximum of 4 books can be ordered per order placed.

It was announced a long time ago by Steidl and absolutely no news since, until recently, late November I believe, copies have been trickling out of Steidl slowly.
The photographer is very very good and so is the book, you can see a lot of the pictures from the book on his Magnum profile page

Steidl suddenly increased their webshop price from €38 to €78 today. Still hoping for my regular pre-ordered edition through bol.com which is scheduled for delivery next week. But I hate seeing publishers pulling this stunt.

I believe Steidl saw this coming and decided to cash in on it, very few of their other books get this treatment, although the unique edition thing is becoming quite common (and annoying) with photo books lately

Woah, as I was writing this I got my confirmation from Amazon on the order I placed Feb 2012, 32$ and free shipping, is that a deal or what ? :D

That's cool! From what I have been able to find out, both these books are out of print. There are still some books finding their way through the distribution system, but they are drying up fast.

One of the (quite well known) book sellers I contacted said that they didn't receive *any* copies of the Minutes to Midnight book, and they were having to source them through other booksellers.

As of now, I have 7 copies of the Minutes to Midnight book on my shelf. If there is one thing I know, it is that I will be able to use them for gifts for years to come. They will also come in handy for trading with other collectors :)

I would *urge* anyone to get a copy of The Christmas Tree Bucket as well, it might just be the true keeper after the dust settles.

Thank you for this thread. I would have missed this book otherwise, as I don't get to surf the photo book interwebs as much these days. Ordered from Magnum.
