I have been sharing a dark room with Bizarrius for some time now, but I finally managed to set up my own in my kitchen.
This is my first my-home-made attempt
It' s a Tri-X 400 shot and developed @400 with 1+7 T-Max developer for 8:30 @24 degs Celcius with 1:10 initial agitation and then 10s every 30s.
I like how it came up contrasty, although a bit grainy for Tri-X.
Scanned with Epson v600 using Silverfast, with only slightly fixed levels.

I'd say the grain looks about right for tri-x and the contrast isn't out of the ordinary either. It's hard to tell as it was a neg scan with editing though. A print would be more ideal to judge and discriminate.

Oh and sorry for the weird size ratio. It was late and I kind of messed up the manual cropping in Silverfast.
