Tri-X 400 + Rodinal: How to get big grains with normal contrast?

If you scan, it is enough that you use some sharpening, the grain will pop out right away ( provided your scanner has a resolution good enough to resolve the grain - the flatbed Epsons do not). Otherwise, your best bet would be using higher speed film.
 
If you print, try to get low contrast negatives (overexpose + underdevelope)
to print with grade 4 o 5. You will see then the grain.
