The majority of these are photographs by Voula Papaioannou and Dimitris Harissiadis both of whom were central for Greek photography in the 40s/50s. I've seen first-hand some of these photos in the Benaki exhibition about the Greek Seas a couple of years ago or so (http://benakishop.gr/en/photography...graphic_journey_in_time-764.html#.Vkn6ZdIrLwc ). Nice set. Of course the Greece they depict doesn't exist any more (did it ever?). Still, it makes me pine after that summer feeling. Thank you for sharing.
