Trip 35 - real bargain!

Hah, I bought a Trip 35 at a local swap meet a few weeks ago for $5. Probably closer to it's resale value than one.

Well I listed one a few weeks ago at a starting price of $10 (which I would have been happy with) and to my astonishment it sold for $105 (Aud). It looked nice, worked well and I'd shot film with it and replaced the light seals, but it did have owners engavings on it. Then on the weekend I bought a nice Olympus 35RC with a working mercury battery on board plus four spare new ones for $50 all up. Something is happening but I don't know what it is......

Lomo perhaps reissuing Trips with fluorescent coverings or messed up lenses for that Lomo look.

Or the world is just mad....

Yoicks - used Canon A1 body for $500??? Guy is on another planet. Expect if he sells any of his stock at prices quoted he'll be laughing all the way to the bank!!!

You can still buy Trips for 5 to 10 dollars. I bought an RC for 11 Euros recently, I only need to work a bit on the light seals.

There will always be sellers wanting to make huge profits. Fortunately, they are not in a position to dictate current market values, although some unexperienced buyer may fall for it.
