kaiyen
local man of mystery
Hi all,
A while ago, I started a thread about what to bring to Paris for a recent vacation. I ended up bringing 2 Canonet 17's with me (though one ended up jamming up while I was there).
What I discovered is that I really, really like working with RFs in a situation like this. Lightweight, quick to work with, and very intuitive. It was a lot easier than working with an SLR. However, I also learned that I really need an interchangeable lens system. Most of the time I was fine with the 40mm, but something wider would've been nice now and then.
My next goal, therefore, is to get an M-mount system (probably r2a) and go from there. I'm not going on another trip like this for a while so no hurry.
I wanted to show the results of that trip.
The gallery itself is here. However, while we've tried to pare down the photos, there are still a lot of images to go through. Plus, there are both Nikon SLR and Canonet images there.
Therefore, here's a quick list of my favorites, all taken with a Canonet. The image gallery I'm currently using does some undesirable stuff with image URLs, but these should persist for at least some time.
Eiffel in the Fog
Bench in Snow @ Hotel des Invalides
Metro
Sunlight @ Louvre
Statue @ Saint Chappelle
Place de la Concorde
Les Passages
Graffit @ Sacre Coeur
Statue & Tree, Tulieries
thanks for your time,
allan
