Tripod Bush

I was recently given a Voigtlander Prominent that appears to be in excellent condition. The tripod bush is much larger than the connecting screw on my recently purchased tripod. What's up with that? I thought that the tripod bush was a more or less standardized fitting? Is there an adapter that can solve the problem? Or, do I need a specialized "Voigtlander Tripod."

Don't buy an expensive "camera" bush unless you have to: most hardware stores stock the 3/8" to 1/4" bushing in brass for well under a buck -- and instant gratification if you have a hardware store nearby 😀.
