Has anyone with one of these cameras, used a tripod, stopped them way down to see the quality. I have my late fathers, Ken serviced the shutter so now sweet. Wondering what a F32 would achieve, i.e. Is it worth it in results, mine is the Tessar Opton coated. Just wondering ?????

These lenses are single coated, and so they don't have super contrast. However, a Tessar design inherently has higher contrast as there are few glass air interfaces.

At f/32, you'll have a lot of depth of field.
You may even get some slight effects from diffraction.
Since these are front focusing lenses, they are sharpest at infinity. As you focus closer, they get a bit less sharp.
However, in my experience from about f/8 and smaller apertures, the lenses are quite sharp.

This is with a first generation 531/2 with an uncoated 105/4.5 Tessar. Either f/22 or f/32, I don't recall. I don't shoot much with a tripod, but after seeing the difference in results with this camera I hesitate to use it any other way.

I often shoot at F32 with a 64mm lens on to 6x9. With your 105mm lens at F32 your aperture diffraction relative contribution to unsharpness will be even smaller.
