I decided to develop 2 films in the same tank; one Acros, one TriX.
The rebate of the TriX seems a little cloudy compared to the very clear Acros. Both had 7 mins in Ilford fixer (1+4) @20c. They were washed for a long time. The negatives aren't dry yet. Is TriX generally a little cloudy compared to Acros? I can't imagine it needs more fixing. Perhaps it will clear a little more as it dries overnight?

It depends on how much wine I've had! Ha!
They look the same to me. But I only develop one film at a time. I'm a simpleton.

A couple things come to mind. And mind, I have never used Acros. First, as you suggested the fixing time maybe different for Trix and Acros. The second is that the base maybe enough different to cause you see one as 'cloudy.'
When I first used Tmax 100 I fixed the same time as I do Trix. I had to go back and refix as the Tmax 100 was under fixed.

First time I had tried TriX with Rodinal, at the end there had been lots of fog and purplish dye. I had left it for almost one hour in plain water. Almost all of that purple was gone and the fog was barely noticeable.

Acros has a clear base, Tri-X does not. That is normal Are you talking about something else?
