I really like the Fed-50 lens on my old Fed 1 NKVD. Unfortunately it's a nonstandard lens matched to the camera's mount, so I can't use it on my other rangefinders. So I found a second Fed-50, a bit newer, over on ebay. The helical needs a little lubrication but the glass is clear and the aperture is clean.
Here are some shots from the first test roll, mounted on a Zorki 6. Film is expired Kodak S0-077 traffic control film, prone to interesting color shifts which I left uncorrected in most of these shots. I forgot my VOOLA hood, so all of these were taken un-hooded in late afternoon light. This first one was a flare test. I like soft vintage flare, especially in color.

I'm pleased with the results, and on the Zorki 6 it's a nice compact package that slips easily into my messenger bag or my winter coat pocket.

These are very representative shots from the Fed 50. You did a great job! I have two of these, one collapsible and one rigid and they are fine performers.

That first shot is brilliant.

Is this the FED 50mm 2.0 non standard lens? That lens was made to use on the FED S. I own a FED S with that lens and am looking for other shooters that own it to compare picture quality and engravings!

That's really me
The garden variety Fed 50's are the 50mm/f3.5
The 50mm f2 are a bit more rare.

This I know, yet I have to ask, you'll just never know

the shot of the bannisters is just heavenly. a textbook example of the wondeful Fed 50.
