I've always loved these bags; my only complaint about them was that they are heavier than comparably sized bags. But I needed a smallish shoulder bag for a Fuji XT2 and 3 smallish f2.0 lenses and a 10.5 inch iPad and the TT Retrospetive bags (Sandstone) just happened to be on sale at B&H:

5 - $99 (Sandstone and Leather)
5 - $101
6 - $108
7 - $113 - I picked up one of these.
10 - $116
20 - $122
30 - $136

The Sandstone bags are on sale cheap everywhere, not just B&H. I wonder if they're about to be discontinued. I like the Pinestone color better; I have a 6 and a 7, both in Pinestone. I just got the 7, and would have bought a Sandstone at the sale price, but I found one in Pinestone on Ebay in almost new condition for $50.

Pretty sure they are being discontinued. I picked up a 6 the other week in sandstone. I prefer the pinestone, but I like $50 even more.

I've been looking at the Retrospective 7 for a while now.

For those of you who have a 7, is it big enough to hold 2 Leica M bodies, and four or five rangefinder lenses? It's hard to tell from the few pics on the web site, exactly how big it is.

Thanks.

Best,
-Tim

Its pretty big, and would probably work. I have the 6 and the 7, which I use for my Micro Four Thirds system.

My everyday carry kit is an Olympus Pen-F digital body, the Olympus 7-14mm f2.8 Pro lens, the Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 Pro lens, and a Panasonic 45-150mm f4-5.6 lens. I also carry a Sekonic L-758DR light meter in the front pocket.

The two Olympus pro lenses are huge, and the Retrospective 7 is actually a little big for this kit. The reason I'm using it more than the Retrospective 6 right now is that I bought a Microsoft Surface Pro tablet, and the Surface pro fits perfectly in the padded back pocket of the Retrospective 7, which was designed to carry laptops in that back pocket. The Surface Pro is a 12 inch tablet, too big for the back pocket of the Retrospective 6 (which is not padded).

I was looking at another model last week (The 6) and noted the sale on the sandstone and saw the black version was already discontinued, which was surprising to me. I'm guessing the sandstone is on the way out too and they're just offering the one color (pinestone) going forward.

I have the Retrospective 5 and 7 bags and was thinking about the 6 as a good in-between bag for a similar M system (M262+21/3.4 SEM and MP240+35/1.4 FLE with additional 75mm and 135mm lenses) and have proceeded with placing the order. Should have the bag here later this week.
