TTartisan 28mm f5.6

Ordered mine from Pergear on Dec 8 ($US298), it was dispatched on Jan 22 and arrived here (Adelaide, S Australia) last Friday Feb 11. Beautifully built as others have commented. Mine focuses perfectly but have only used it to take photos around the house as both my wife are locked down with Covid. I love tiny lenses so suspect this will see plenty of use on my M6 and M-220.

Anyone considering the 7artisan version. I hope the the hood can be removed so that annoying symbol wont drive me insane. I have no issue however withe the symbol in context what it stands for....just the aesthetics

So it looks like TTArtisan released their 28mm F5.6 lens in LTM

I might wait a bit to see on build quality issues as I've experienced a few issues on some of their products on their initial launch...

Leica SL2S - TTArtisan 5.6/28. When it comes to small 28mm lenses, there are choices, of course. The newly released Voigtlander Color-Skopar 2.8/28 in M mount is available for $700. The chrome TTArtisan + retro metal hood goes for $326. Cheers, OtL

Now that the skopar came out i am wondering if I should get rid of the ttartisans and get the skopar.

Its as small. A few reviews i seen say it's sharper and has 2.8 🙂

I already have the summicron so the idea of the ttartisans was to have a fun small lens, (i wanted the summaron but too $$$)

In that case, you may wish to look around. There is the Voigtlander 2/28 Ultron -which is bigger, and the Zeiss Biogon 2.8/28 -also bigger, both with excellent reviews. I've used the Biogon for many years and it produces stellar images. When I lived in Bucharest, https://www.f64.ro/ sold M Mount lenses and, sometimes had them up for sale. Cheers, OtL
