Refuses to suffer fools
Mine is here. Decentering looks ok and calibration wasn’t difficult. Right now I’m driving myself crazy, someone somewhere in the last few days posted that you can steal the M mount off a Fotodiox M42 to M adapter to get milled 6 bit cavities but the adapter I bought doesn’t have a removable mount. I’d like to find that post and ask the guy for more info, but I can’t find it. I don’t think it was here, and I’ve tried DPP, Reddit and FB. Ring any bells for anyone?

I have only the LLL Elcan. I guess it is a good remake of the Elcan. And that it is also a good lens. It gets good reviews. And it shoots well but does not have the some special thing I like. Link to small album: LLL Elcan
I do find the romance and poetry - OK, maybe that is pushing it a bit - greater in the Thypoch lenses that I have used. My point is that China is making some really good lenses now at really good prices. For the price of a good eBay retro we can now get a new Chinese retro with better coatings, perhaps better image and a warranty. That's a powerful argument.
Thypoch Eureka: Thypoch Eureka
Thypoch Simera 50: Thypoch Simera
So for lens junkies, strike that, lens collectors this is good news. I have a couple of beautiful old lenses, really nice ones. But they are hard to come by. These Chinese retros are just a click away. That's kind of nice.
