What if your eye sight "keeps on getting better" as you age, and then you switch from having had short sightness to far sightness. Then, the story continues, and your eye sight bounces back to being short sighted, but one the way, you go through the point of perfect eye sight again?
short sighted--------------20/20-------------far sighted---------20/20--------?
Not sure I follow, but: Cataracts aren't just about acuity. You lose contrast and (generally) the ability to perceive blue. So, you could be (nearly) 20/20 in acuity, but see too little contrast to detect the focusing patch, and see a clear sky as muddy grey. That's about where I was. I wasn't 20/20, but my inability to see the patch wasn't lack of acuity.

I was just pulling your leg here.
I am far sighted as I see far things clearly and I need glasses [sometimes] to see small things up close. I checked my eyes 3 years ago, and I needed a slight correction, like +0.5 in one eye.

The downside is I have absolutely no excuses for out-of-focus shots..."my sight is getting better as I get older"
Congrats! But, you can still develop cataracts even though you're 20/20. In fact, they're nearly inevitable, if you live long enough. But make the most of your current excellent sight!![]()
