Two lens on the wide in for the R-D1?

My R-D1 should be here Friday. It comes with the 35/1.4 Nokton (54mm FOV). I have a LTM 50/2.0 (75mm FOV) Summicron and a Canon 85/1.8 (130mm FOV) chrome to take care of the long end.

For the wide end given the 1.53 sensor in it.

I'm looking at the 12/5.6 Aspherical Ultra Wide Heliar for an effective 18mm FOV.

Then a 28/1.9 Aspherical Ultron which has the FOV of 43mm.

Any others I should look at? I'll wait on an M9 before leaping on the amazing Leica 28 Elmarit 28 ASPH

I use the CV 15 and 21 and find them to be a great combo for the RD-1. With the 15mm I use the VF of the 21. Have not found a good solution yet for the 21 though - I kind of wing it with the 21 VF.

I have the Voigtlander 12 and 21mm lenses, have to say since got the 21 I rarely use the 12. I'm not sure 28 is different enough to the 35, the upcoming 25mm may be a better option. All these lenses are also more compact than the 28, the one extra thing that lens will give you is a faster wide for low light situations

I've been waiting for the new Zeiss 21mm as well although it will have to go some to improve on the Voigtlander...

I have a CV 21/4.0. I use it with a 28mm VF, which is close enough. Nice lens on the R-D1, but it does vignette a lot. Not generally a problem for the images I use it for, which often benefit from the effect, and it's easy enough to process out if it's inappropriate, but you need to be aware of it. Never used the 15mm but I assume it does the same.

iml, the 21 barely vignettes when compared to the 15mm. Not too much of an issue if you shoot RAW but a pain for JPG shooters...
