My M3 has the rewind lever mounted upside-down. Can I easily remedy this?
The electronic flash outlet is extended. Why is this & how do I push it back in?

For the first one, yes, unscrew it and flip it over, as the lever is slotted. For the second, is it a PC insert in the plug? If so, that's the way it is.

As Art said, for the first task all you need is a screwdriver of the right size and a steady hand. The M3 had flash sockets of Leica design. Adapters were needed to connect flash guns with "standard" plugs. You can remove the little adapter if you won't use flash.
