I have a couple of procedural questions:
1. I changed my avitar via the user control panel the other day. It was changed in the forums but not in the galleries. Is there a different method to be used to changethe avitar in the galleries?
2. I'm limited to 150 KB for each picture uploaded to the galleries. I notice some people have obviously much larger images (click to enlarge). What kind of special case allows these larger images?
Thanks for shedding some light on these questions!

Hmmm, apparently two very tough questions!
Well, I'll check again when I return. I'm going across the continent to Baltimore by the Bay for a week. If I see anyone else with a rangefonder around his/her neck I'll step right up and say hello!

150kb is file size and not how big something is. If you have Photoshop, you can optimize image size to file size with the Save for Web function. It has a two-up comparison screen so you can see what is happening to the image.

The avatar for the discussion forum (running on vBulletin) takes a few days to update the avatar for the gallery (running on PhotoPost).
I guess it's two separate databases that syncnronize twice a week or so.
