In Photojournalism category, X-RAY (Don Dudenbostel) won the Gold medal for his shot of a KKK rally.

Don, I just wonder how you got around the model release requirement in the contest? Or was that a shot with no faces visible?

Sounds more like the 2006 Annual with the single image contest awards, Tom. I have the 2005 annual, but not 2006.

I also have Issue 44 2006 Portfolio Contest Awards, which you mentioned, which came out in August. I don't think they divide the portfolios by categories like portrait, photojournalism, etc. BTW, in that issue, Simon Larby won the excellence award for his series in Cambodia, IIRC (Congratulations, Simon).

But thanks for the heads up. I'll need to pick up the issue at B&N!

Phantastic - congratulations. Plus probably shot with a Canon 50/1.2, Jim ?

Yep, I used the Canon 50/1.2 on my MP and set the aperture at about 1.6.

Somebody else asked if I had to submit a model release, no I did not, but I have to be able to supply one if asked.

My website is just the x-rays and i pulled the Pnet gallery a few months ago. You can see them on RFF at http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=5045

There will be a website for the documentary work next year.
