Thanks for bearing with me. It's been a tough (and expensive) week. On top of the radio & CD player which my wife and I intended to be our wedding anniversary gift (since May!), we had two people from a big store coming to give us an estimate of a kitchen refacing.

We nearly fainted.

But we need the job badly. So, I'm off all kinds of gear for a while.

So I wanted to use my 2,500th well! 🙂 There won't be another!

First, thank you for creating and fostering what I believe is the friendliest 'place' on the web (quite reminiscent of the newsgroups of yore, and that is a big compliment).

Second, as your significant other has probably explained to you, a kitchen remodeling is absolutely comparable to a Leica: it is a long time investment, which bears fruit for its user and his/her whole family for decades. Provided you can afford costly consumables 😉
