I'm ready for the 30mm, but still can't stomach the 3K Hasselblad price tag.

Now I know they're both made in Japan, but Hasselblad inspects each piece before selling it. Does anyone know how Fuji's quality control compares? Might Fuji have a lower stnd or is the difference in price that I'm finding purely a name-branding issue?

I have the Fujinon on my Xpan. It is a fantastic lens. The quality is as high as Hasselblads. As a matter of fact, as you know, the Xpan and its accessories are manufactured by Fuji. The diffrence in price is pretty much name branding. For the money, the Fuji 30mm lens comes with a more compact viewfinder, it is also made from plastic/polycarbonate, and does not include the center filter. A case is included. You can't go wrong with this lens or any other Fuji/TX lens for the Xpan.

Cheers!
