My HP5 negatives in D-76 1:1 look thin and low in contrast. Most of my prints from them look flat and lackluster. Maybe they need a more active developer, like D-DX. Tri-X in D-76 1:1 gives me negatives with good density, and prints with rich tonality. Maybe "it's the water" (like Olympia beer)?
