hello~
three week break. planning to rent a car and go on a road trip with my camera and i. either start from NY or LA.
can anybody make any recommendations on a good itinerary? or any goo d online/offline resources? all i currently have is the USA lonely planet book.

Charles, I just got back from one, southwestern USA to be exact.
I wasn't going to bring one, but a good friend lent me one, and it turned out to be *very* useful: A GPS system.
Also, I planned my trip such that the long boring stretch of interstate travel is done at night. Arrive at an attractive place in the early mornings when the light is good. One caveat, I have to pretty much pass up on any evening/night-activities, must get some sleep.
