Sorry to hear about it. It's the first time I've heard that a screw lens can fall off a camera as it takes many turns for it to dislodge.

Sorry to hear about your loss - I've never had a lens (bayonet or otherwise) come off my camera unintentionally. Hope you have the budget to replace it soon.
