Home Office defends plan to monitor social network conversations
RFF is clearly not at the top of their list but for sure they will come around eventually.
Does vBulletin support asymmetrical PM encryption?

This site isn't a social networking site... so we can say the UK government sucks donkeys for fun without worry of arrest... ;0)
It's aimed at Facebook and the rest. Anyway, I wouldn't worry to much, after some poor bugger has had to wade through 10mill idiotic conversations from from MySpace the only thing they'll be looking for is the nearest window to jump out off...

They use software to monitor such things. No one "reads" anything.

You can all scoff, but buried deep beneath the Home Office; beneath the layers of steel and reinforced concrete there is a secret. Hidden behind Jackie Smith’s “shock second home scandal”, deep underground, is Jackie Smith’s secret “shock third home scandal” or The Führerbunker, as she playfully calls it.
There hidden from all but the most crazed members of the Met’s crack SO19 (the one’s that sleep in their sunglasses) is a large red button that has the legend “MERGE DATABASES”
One evil laugh, and press that and we’re all buggered

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha (pardon me for a pretty useless post, but I can't seem to think of anything else)

Just like digital cameras.....
Just like digital cameras.....
This is a world wide site and if a computer in the UK thinks I might right something subversive, they can just forward it to my FBI file.

This reminds me of the only thing I laughed at on televison on sept 11 2001. Late in the afternoon, when the news media was running out of things to say that weren't thoroughly repetitive, they started rolling stock footage of pro al-qaeda rallies, and one of the protesters was holding up a placard that had a picture of osama bin laden photoshopped next to bert from sesame street. they pulled it from bertisevil.com and didn't realize the image was utterly ridiculous.

Ohh no, they have clever software that does all the hard work - it can parse all kinds of stuff - text, audio & video. The spooks just look at the reports it produces and decide on their targets from there.

So what you're saying is that, pre Stockwell, the software didn't have a clear understanding what a Brazilian was?
Still we all make mistakes
