Hi guys

I have a dead pixel that's causing a line across my images (try and spot it below - it's very hard to see, but it bugs me)

Fiber-Optic by chiscocks, on Flickr

Spoiler - it's a vertical line, coming from the bottom, a little left of the centre of the image.

I've emailed a bunch of UK repairers to see if anyone can take a look for me. I can't send back to Japan (to Epson, anyway) because apparently they have only just stopped accepting the R-D1 for repairs. They'll still look at the R-D1s and X though, which seems illogical given that they are identical in so many ways..

I'll let you know if anyone replies. If anyone knows of someone worth trying, please let me know!

Cheers

I have read through that thread, and I'm none the wiser - I've tried the in camera adjustment which didn't work, I have Dfine which doesn't work very well and i have no idea how to make a preset for Photoshop which could remove the pixels...

Perhaps if someone could talk me through it!

Cheers

OK I've set up an action in Photoshop that'll remove the scratch with one click. Any idea how to apply this setting to all files on a memory card and then save them (as .ERF?) so I can import as normal into Lightroom?

Or will it be a process of having to open them all in Photoshop, add the 'clean', then export then import to Lightroom?

OK little update!!

I've decided it's best to import to LR5, then for the images choose 'edit in Photoshop', open original file, remove line, save and move back to LR.

My 'recorded' setting works really well, but I need some help in how to 'finalise' it - each time I 'Play' the action it repeats the setting below the preset... I'll start a new thread about this perhaps later on...

Cheers
