Where in the UK can I take my Olympus RD for a full service/overhaul?

Try Newton Ellis & Co. (www.newtonellis.com): a very good general repairer with whom I've always been satisfied. Note however their turnaround times can be variable and they're not cheap. Ring up and discuss your requirements.

Try Luton Camera Repair Service. When I contacted Olympus about repairs for my XAs they referred me to Luton. Good service.

I can only say good things about Dave Boyle at Camera Repair Workshop (Milton Keynes, 01908 378088).
Not sure if he works on the RD, but he's definitely worth a call.
