Is the eugene smith docu one of the old, insufferably dull bbc docus, or one of the newer, enjoyable to watch docus?

As I've not seen it yet I don't know. It is 40 minutes long and here's what it says in the Radio Times:

"Dai Smith searches for the missing photographs taken by American W. Eugene Smith for Life magazine during the 1950 General Election"
 
The Ravilious programme is a belter. Not just for the photography, but for Alan Bennett's voice over.
 
The Ravilious story is great (I love his father's work too), I have it clogging up my hard drive, now I guess the others will too...
