Ultrafine Xtreme Black & White Film ISO 400

this was the first film i bulk loaded. i really loved it for price and performance. the field i think was shot with my summaron 35 3.5 and the other 2 are with a lomo lc-a

Here's some ultrafine 400 shot, pushed a stop, on a leicaflex with super angulon F3.4 (lock-up version)

Subject is the abandoned Princess Theater in Beardstown, Illinois.

Finally got around to shooting some Ultrafine Xtreme 400 in 135. This is from my first roll, loaded from bulk. Coming from ORWO N74+, the grain is much finer, but N74+ seems to hold highlights better. The film base seems thinner, but it dries completely flat, which is great for scanning and digitizing. I used 5.5 minutes to match my own times for 120, but it might take me a few rolls to see whether I want to adjust down to match the manufacturer's recommended time of 5 minutes in HC-110 Dilution B.

Looks like you are in San Jose, I lived around the corner from The Sherwood Inn on Rubino.


Which film do you feel works best with the Legacy Pro developer?

Good eye! I work in San Jose off Hillsdale, and I drive by the Sherwood Inn every day. The sign caught my eye a long time ago, but I finally got around to taking a picture of the green cow in late afternoon light recently. :D

As far as "works best", I have no idea. I've used LegacyPro for the past few years with various film stocks, but I haven't experimented with many developers. It works well enough for me, so I've continued using it since switching from Rodinal. If you browse my Flickr albums, you can see all the different films I've developed in it. Since it's a clone of HC-110, I guess it works well as a general purpose developer.
