Ultron 28/1.9 Question

I am considering the Ultron 28/1.9. Does it come with a rangefinder coupling for the Leica M6 / M7?

I've just been shooting a whole bunch of stuff with the Ultron, pretty-much all of it wide open. It'll be the weekend before I get a chance to scan it though. I'll upload a few here when I do.

I have the 28/f1.9 Ulton on the front of my M6 and I'm loving using it. I've got a few photos in my gallery taken with it. Super-sharp, lots of contrast and very little distortion. Okay, some of the Leica die-hards turn their nose up a bit but I just want a good lens. I must admit I have no Leica to compare it against but I doubt that there's a better value fast 28mm out there at present.

I just got an Ultron, no photos yet, but I'm looking forward to using it...I think it will be my primary lens.

It's a very nice lens. Unlike Paul, I find it to be a noticeably low contrast lens—especially compared to the CS 35/2.5 or the 28/3.5 (the former more so than the latter). I took it out street shooting and did_not_like the results, but I have my workflow/processing tuned (for lack of a better word) to the 35/2.5 and the 28/3.5. It's a tad on the big side, too.

I'm still trying to find a use for a fast 28.

Agree with you Ray wrt contrast, although I like less contrast when shooting color.

Speed in a 28 is great for portraits. You actually get noticable OOF.

I agree about the color. However, 28 is a bit wide for portraits (for me). I see too much distortion. I prefer a 35 or 50 for that candid type shot. I'm planning on using the 35/1.2 (again) and the 50/1.5 this holiday season.
