A bit of a long shot, mine's posted missing, does anyone know if these little focus levers are available anywhere?

It's shown in the instruction booklet that comes with the lens, you remove a screw next to the engraving on the focus ring marked 'Lens made in Japan' and replace it with the lever. If I can find out what thread it is I'll make one.

And that thing is most nifty! Too bad you lost yours. I read in a different thread once that if you can somewhere find a screw with the fitting diameter and thread size, you could use that as a replacement. (Somebody actually did that.)

EDIT: Just saw feriders reply, so consider mine obsolete :)

I just received my 28/1.9 a week ago or so. It is also missing the focus lever. I guess I will look into the alternative solution suggested above, or does anyone have new tips where to get one?

I still half of mine - the half that remained in the focus ring when the other part mysteriously broke off! I have no idea what happened, must have been when I put it into the camera bag.

The tightening knob for the hood also stripped under easy use about a year after I bought it. Not the best made lens I have, but I do like the pictures from it.

So if anyone finds a source for replacement levers, please post, I wouldn't mind having a new one.

Looks like there are at least four of us, who are looking for one. At this point, I would be pretty happy just knowing the screw size in order to make a simple lever/tab myself.

Found a solution. The soft releases I use from eBay have a cone shaped thread and it screws very tightly into the lens. Works very well and although not the same shape it feels good.
