I wanted to bump up this, as I've been wondering about the issue with my M4-P.
The images I've shot seem to be ok, but the rangefinder patch seems to go past the infinity, for example the moon.
I have a cheap adapter which does not have the infinity mark of the Ultron centered straight up.
So as the images are fine I am wondering if the focus barrel corrects the mistake of the adapter? Meaning that as the lense gets closer to the film plane, also the rangefinder moves just the correct amount to give correct "readings" for focusing. This would mean I cannot focuse to 0,9 meters which is the close distance for this lense normally and that the distance marks on the barrel would be off (even more than normally).
Did someone find out what the problem really is? I guess it could be also that the adapter or lense AND the camera are both a little off, correcting the mistakes.
I could try another adapter of course but would like to get some confirmation first. I've used a couple Ultrons as well as many adapters and a couple bodies. Never noticed this before, but didn't exactly know to look for it. I think earlier even these cheap adapters have worked, but I noticed some issues earlier with 50 and 75. Changing the adapters that had got mixed up, fixed it with those... So is it just about luck with the adapters and lenses? Another one was Leitz I think and it only worked correctly with the 75 IIRC.

Your rangefinder of your M2 is out of line as mentioned already earlier in this thread.
Bring it to a good technician and it will be solved.

Concerning my problem (M4-P not M2), If it is just the infinity, I think I can turn a single screw myself... And avoid paying about 70 euros minimum for this.
