Does anyone have a lead on where to get CV lenses serviced? I bought a 35/1.7 Ultron LTM for my Bessa R. I love the lens, but infinity is out of focus. Any ideas where to get the lens collimated? I am looking for someone in North America to do the work.

I recently got my CV 28/1.9 LTM back from DAG Camera for the same thing. Cost was $155 plus shipping. The lens is now focusing accurately.

Good to hear. How long did it take him?

I have never used, and have no reason not to use DAG but I have had excellent service from Youxin Ye, http://www.yyecamera.com/ . Fast, great communication and a CLA on a rangefinder lens was $80.

Youxin is unable to collimate a lens.

I sent a different Voigtlander lens to Don for collimation.
Great work, about three weeks total turn around time from when I shipped it to getting it back.

About 2-3 weeks, plus shipping to and from; this was with a group of several lenses all needing calibration and/or CLA.

Why not send it to the head bartender? Doesn't cameraquest fix voigtländers any more?

He just collimated my Summicron 50mm this month and used shims. Service was $40 on top of the $80 for the lens CLA. Lens came back in perfect shape.

From the CameraQuest website:
Other than Cosina - Voigtlander lenses, we no longer do lens repairs unless we are also repairing the camera body.

Interesting. He referred me to DAG when I asked him to collimate my 50 1.5 ZM. Said he didn't have the equipment to do it.

Don has the equipment. Its Leica equipment at that.
I just got a lens back from him and it focuses right now. He told me $155 standard price for a collimation, pretty much regardless of the lens. However, he did mention that some non-Leica lenses may not be so easy to service, but the CV lens I asked about was apparently under the $155 umbrella. (I think it was the CV 35/1.4)
