Well, I got home late last night. Left the car in the driveway, too lazy to put it in the garage. Left the camera bag on the front seat, really lazy. It was in the 40s when I woke up. Just broke 50. I guess that film is now in cold storage.

It was 50 down HERE yestiddy. Well, in the morning, anyway. Very odd weather.

And stop leaving your camera bag on the front seat of yer car. Ask rsilvferberg about what happens when you do that!

It was a cool night, and my town is still trying to decide if we want to be suburban or rural. The teenagers are even relatively tame. The only thing that may come by to peak in the window would be a deer or the local bobcat family, unless a coyote got them.

well it's 9c this morning- that's about 48f and it's a very brisk morning. temps have been lower than average this past week and lots of august showers.

rover, my city/town used to be like that when i first moved here in '72. not any more!
too bad really.

We just got a Dunkin Donuts this week. The state paved over the town green back in the '50s when they widened Rte. 66 so there isn't much of a town center right now. There is a proposal to develop some land and create a new green with a quaint little shops and stuff around it. But right now, besides a couple small restaurants, a grocery store and a bank of two we have no industrial or retail tax base. I would say right now we are still 40%ish rural, the rest of us travel to work to Hartford and it's surrounding towns or the like.

Temps are much better here. 🙂 Woke up to 20 degrees C. Went out for a nice stiff walk. Temp hit 30 degrees C along d way. Inside it's about 32 degrees (I live on the 3rd floor (4th in the US), with the wondows facing south, so the sun shines from early morning 'til late in the evening on my windows. Hardly any wind blowing, so the fan is on all day and all night.

Idea. Maybe we can post shots of the view from our houses?
Shall I start?

Connecticut is a small state with good roads, so it is easy for a town like mine to remain a bedroom community without the need to be much more. Land is $ though and more and more of the traditional farm families will sell over time and the community will grow. We have been a small town for the 8 years I have been here, and will be for some time to come.

I think a cold front must have moved through our area too, I live n Texas and this morning I woke up and it feels like we are down into the upper ninetys, time to break out the parkas 😉

OK, so here it is in Wilson, North Carolina today. By the way, this is a town of 40,000. We're an hour's drive from any major city (Raleigh) and we still have some trouble with drugs/violence and crime. Not too bad, though. Quiet little town on the whole, and we're glad to be here.

You think its cold where you are. I am currently in the Adirondack region of upstate New York. Its so cold that last night the Warrensburg flasher was arrested for describing himself.

😀 😀 😀

I am heading up to the White Mountains in New Hampshire next weekend. With my luck we will get a flow of hot humid air full of all the manufacturing exhaust from the mid west. Enjoy the crisp clear air and keep your fingers crossed for me.

We Italians are that way. Joe call. Everything can be worked out over a glass of wine and a plate of pasta. Speaking of which, I need to start working on my sauce for tonight's dinner.

Yup, through and through.

Yesterday I wanted to go to a local fair and use up the film in my cameras, but Sammy put up a stink and we didn't go.

So, what do I do on a cool Sunday afternoon, when I can't go and make some pictures? I cook!!! Growing up mom made a sauce every Sunday during the winter and we always had a hearty family pasta dinner.
