Unable to snap in used lens into Pen F mount

Hi all, I just bought a Pen F 25/4 and for some reason it is unable to snap and twist into my adapter mount. I have to push it in hard to get the adapter and the lens to line up but I am unable to twist it into the locking position. Is there something that I might be doing wrong? I have a 40mm 1.4 as well and it is fits fine.

If I did get scammed by the auction site, does anybody know of a reputable Pen F lens repair person in the Southern California LA region? Thanks!

If I remember right, the Pen lenses twist in the opposite direction to other lenses. (is that right?) You might also have to hold down the release button on the lens itself.

I have quite a few pen lenses and the ability to fit to adapters seems rather by-chance.

Thanks for your help. I ended up ordering another adapter and the lens fits just fine on the new one.
