'Uncommon Landscapes'

That is a very vice project. For those of us that are not all that familiar with England, are they all from the same area? I really like the one from North Pool, Devon.

Salisbury Plain is where I live and is in Wiltshire as is the Vale of Pewsey - they are both in central Southern England. Salisbury Plain's only claims to fame are that it is home to Stonehenge (about 2 miles from my home) and is mostly made up of a large (by UK standards) military training area.

Dungeness/Romney Marsh are in South East England about 120 miles away and Devon is in South West England about 100 miles in the other direction.

Being from Texas I am always amazed how much open land there is on that wee little island you call home.
Lovely series, great photos.

I ADORE that first shot ...a Beautiful Fairytale Come Alive
and the Last shot is Sublime...the LIGHT !

Those shots - and the ones on the website - are fantastic. A brave decision to go b&w for somewhere as lush and verdant as Romney Marsh, perhaps, but you've really got some stunners there. If I could take one that good, I'd die happy. Or die of over-exaggeration, but you get my point. Dungeness, on the other hand, bleak, desolate and windswept was made for b&w. Every time we went in my youth it was school trips to the power station - and not a glance at the wondrous emptiness. Grr!

I rather like LilSerenity's set as well - another brave decision, methinks!

Really impressive stuff on your site - it would be nice to see some in print. Great job.

Really good work Chris! You have captured it beautifully! Kind of reminds me of the landscapes that Charlie Waite does! I really enjoyed your gallery! Thanks!
