Tmax Developer is pretty thick compared to most stock solutions (Rodinal for example has the same consistancy as water but Tmax is thicker). I wonder if it would flow well during agitation. What were your results like? My guess is horridly overdeveloped and possibly uneven developing

You should get a contrasty neg with dense highlights and little shadows.

High - contrast negatives I would guess, something like pure BW (without any grey tones) ? I sometimes use aged T-max in 1:5 repeatedly and add one min time, gives nice results...

Well my friends, that has been my worst mistake in my darkroom life.
After a long period of not using my darkroom I found to have a bottle of diluted Tmax developer, and another wine bottle I assumed it contained too diluted tmax dev.
It happened that the last time before, knowing in avance I will not return so soon to my lab, I had the intelligent idea of splitting a new bottle of concentrate destinated to make 5 liters of working solution, into 1 littre of working solution and the resting concentrate to pour it into a wine bottle.
So the last time, the one of the accident, I looked at the dates of the used bottle and noticed it was overdated and re-used several times. Then I found another strange bottle of wine with the Tmax hand write but without writing
"CONCENTRATE".
Assuming it was diluted I used it to process a single roll at regular timesl. In between I felt a kind of viscosity out there...
The result? an absolutely transparent film. Even the frame numbers were whiped out !
Perhaps we should open a thread "My worst darkroom mistake"

You shouldn't have gotten totally transparent film from using developer that is too strong. You sure it wasn't Fixer?

Look on the bright side - at least you didn't mistakenly assume it contained wine
