So, we all know the story: artificial lighting + dark synthetic fibres = bizarre magenta cast on the M8. The M8's unique IR-(over)sensitivity has been invaluable to me, given that I live with a knitting enthusiast who, sometimes, needs to differentiate between synthetic fibres and real wool yarns...
But, earlier today, I found a whole new use for the M8: in certain conditions, you can find out who, in any given room, has dyed their hair! Dyed hair, it seems, turns out as purpley as acrylic.
