The Peaceful Pacific

It’s been an unforgettable day. Remember UNFORGETTABLE, sung by Nat King & Natalie Cole? This morning I met Ossifan [rff] at Cup o’ Joe. He’s a great guy, and he showed me 2 gorgeous Leicas. It seemed to me, that the superb M6 and newer Leica focusing patch, is not too much different from that of my M2 from the ‘60’s. Comments are welcome on this.
Israelis do not have access to the Manger Square Christmas festivities. Just 20 minutes from my home, this is in Palestinian Authority territory. Many Christians & pilgrims will get there tonight with group tours. The Midnight Mass [Catholic], is televised from the Church of the Nativity. The Greek Orthodox Christmas is on January 7th, and the Armenian on January 19th.
Among the nostalgic songs heard on the radio today, was MY WAY...
In 1994 in Los Angeles, the Three Tenors, Pavarotti, Domingo & Carreas, sang My Way together with Frank Sinatra, then 79; I was moved to tears. Let me quote a few lines from My Way; indeed, there is a Universal message therein:
Though I’m somewhat more involved at our sister site DSLRx, I’m glad to be aboard here with a great bunch of individualists ;-) who give of themselves via their Images & Forum Posts. For sure, the Spirit of The Season is with us, in the sense of Community we all enjoy here. 🙂
