This info is for those that have considered developing you own color film .

This was my first kit, mixed as per direction , chemicals stored in readily available containers .( white 1gal. bleach bottles ) Wanting to see how many rolls I could get out of this kit. I made no special effort in the storage of the bottle or the evacuation of oxygen from bottles.

Kit mixed on June 1st , Last roll dev was on August 3rd , chemicals then sat till Oct 2 with no use . Shot a roll then went to dev . Developer had exhausted, but blix still able to fix film. (turned clear no images)
up until August 3rd chemicals were working fine . Probably could have gotten at least 10 more rolls out of it . It did not show any signs of deterioration or exhaustion.

APS - 3 rolls
35mm - 28 rolls mixed 24 and 36 exp.
120 - 6 rolls

Hope this helps

I use those expandable bottles to keep the air out. I also split the powder from the kit to make 2 batches using a gram scale. It means mixing more often, but since I don't develop enough color in the lifetime of a 2l kit, it makes sense. Plus, it's cheaper than buying two1l kits.

Thanks guys I'm aware of the effect of oxygen and dev. I wanted to see how long it would last with out any special care.

With my other kit I will evac the oxygen and see how much is gained and post the results.
