ok, we got over rated shooters and under rated shooters, well how about non rated shooters?

we have some great image makers here at rff, just for a 'fer instance'...

seems i didn't get a nod in the under rated thread so i am signing up for the un rated thread...

Dweezle Q. Filbert, Grand Rapids.

Google the entire phrase and you will get NO matches.

You can't be more unrated than that.

Cheers,

R.

Now I`m really confused

Now I`m really confused

I think I`ll hold out for the overweighted photographer thread.

well, too bad this thread was a dud...

we have many good photographers here at rff and it would be nice to 'rate' them...

but that's a bit close to home, i guess.

for me i have several favourites for various reasons...

kgb is on the list
sevres babylon for sure
helen, as i would guess many would also list

that's just a start...

Your are correct Joe.

We have lots of good ones. It seems to try mentioning all them would be sure to leave out some. I personally like Keith's LF shots. Raid's travel shots have been a delight. Those are personal fav's of mine. But by no means the gamut of good photographers here.

There are others. But I don't want to try to mention all of them. How about someone else mentioning a personal favorite. It wouldn't mean they are the best on RFF, just someone whose photos appeal to you personally.

i'm not trying to get a popularity contest going here...or to make folks feels badly by leaving them off my list...

there are some who's work i look forward to seeing when they post...they may have a style or a subject that appeals to me.
i'm no critic but i know what i like...

we all have a list...

I'm not rated and I kinda like it that way. I'm of the firm belief that the photographer should shut up and let his or her pictures do the talking. I just like to go out and make strong images. I post on my blog and here from time to time but that's about it...

I don't think we do. I don't, for a start.

I also know that the range of opinions varies so vastly that I'm not all that interested: you'll normally get feedback only from those who think you're brilliant, and overpraise just about all you do, or those who think your pictures are rubbish and say so in downright insulting terms.

Cheers,

R.

There's some great photographers here and I could quote at least ten who's images really impress me.

I tend to like the ones who are prepared to take a risk and break out of the safe little 'street photgraphy' thing we have going on here!

Hard not to like Frank Petronio's work and Petronius can make an image from not much that will attract your eye instantly as you browse the gallery!

We also have some very competent photographers here who never place an image in the gallery at all ... but are quite happy to pepper threads constantly with their work!

Bud Green (link to his Flickr)

My god ... I'd forgotten how good Bud's work is. No man could photograph his own family better than this guy does it ... click the slideshow button on his flickr stream and sit back and enjoy!

Thanks for that link (and reminder) Chris! :)

OurManInTangiers, if i was to pick one (and one only) who does in fact post here.

+1 for that.

I reckon Frank Petronio was in the underrated thread, or have the haters moved him up to the overrated thread yet? :p Cos you know, when you get to the overrated thread, you have really made it
