Unscrewing Fed/Zorki rf-vf windows

This is an alternative way on how to unscrew the rangefinder and viewfinder windows without having an appropriate wrench.
You basically need a fuel-line hose (9mm), pliers and electrical tape to secure your camera from scratches. I only had a 8mm fuel-line hose so I had to stretch it in hot water. Those hoses are reinforced and won’t scratch your windows even when you squeeze them with the pliers.
But be careful! Don’t press too hard, don’t force it! You maye need a drop of watch makers oil to penetrate the threads first.

There are appropriate wrenches from China, so it’s up to you whether you try this method or order from abroad.

I have used one of those multipurpose electrical stripper plyers with some electrical tape around the glass frame. Ever so gently as well as your suggestion.
