Unusual lens mount - what might it fit?

This Dallmeyer SUPER-SIX 1¼" f1.9 lens has been in my oddments box for years and would like to know what type/make of camera it may have been used with. The lens has a 30mm approx. thread mount so it is not C mount; not sure of thread pitch. Hope someone might recognize it.

It looks like an enlarger lens to me but f1.9 seems faster than most enlarger lenses and the focal length seems a little short too but maybe it's for prints from 110 film or something? Seems too old for that though.

It's hardly an enlarger lens since the f-stops would be upside down with the lens mounted. I'm curious to hear someone shed some light on this one!

John I think your diagnosis could be correct as it does not have a focusing mount.

Maybe it will adapt to a bellows but probably not worth the effort. Expect I'll be rummaging under the tables at Photographica checking oddments for a focusing mount.

BTW John did you see my ELCAN lens on the Leica Forum? There is no suitable slot here to post the pix.

A similar lens designed for c-mount seems to be getting some interest on eBay at the moment. Might be worth some money.

I am going to guess that it is some sort of cine lens, since it is about 31mm or so. Nice normal lens for a 16mm camera, perhaps.

Dallmeyer made lenses in the same way as the lens makers of old, just in different series in different sizes rather than having them in specific camera mounts. The Super-Six for the Witness, for instance, was a standard lens unit put into a Leica-compatible focussing mount.

Looking at my early 1980s Dallmeyer catalogue, the Super-Six was made in 13 sizes with focal lengths between 25 and 203mm. This particular one is 1 1/4" (32mm), with angular coverage of 50˚ and the thread mount is 1 1/4 Whitworth.
