Unusual Strap Lugs and Model Number on My Mamiya 7 — Need Help Identifying

I recently purchased a Mamiya 7, but I noticed something unusual about it. This Mamiya 7 has three strap lugs instead of the usual two I’ve seen on other Mamiya 7 cameras. Also, the model number on my camera is PB1637, which looks different from the typical Mamiya 7 serial numbers I’ve come across.


Has anyone seen a Mamiya 7 like this before? Could it be a special edition, an aftermarket modification, or possibly a fake? Any information or insights would be really appreciated!

I had a mamiya 7-2 a few years back with the same 3 lugs.
Looks completely normal to me

The 3 strap lugs is normal for the 7 II and is documented in the product brochure. The serial number is also in the standard LL#### format.

At the time Mamiya would retrofit the 3rd 7II strap lug to earlier 7 models.
