Update on my cross country trip

Hey folks, I'm in New Mexico right now and have developed maybe 10 or 15 rolls, mostly from Baltimore, which was my first stop. I've shot a lot of color, too, but I can't develop that until I get to Denver where my grandparents live. I was down at the border of El Paso and Juarez yesterday, but my Spanish wasn't good enough to communicate my intentions. I thought the area was incredibly fascinating though. Next time. Mainly I'm posting some of my photos because some folks here have been incredibly supportive of what I'm doing. It's also been a few days since I've been able to photograph the way I like, and I'm trying to stay motivated. I've been on the road for about 2 and a half weeks. I feel like I could do this for the rest of my life, though, if I had the money. I've made contacts everywhere I've gone, phone numbers, email addresses, for future trips. I've had great experiences and a few truly terrifying ones, but honestly I've learned so much about this crazy country so fast. I've been met with so much kindness. It's all been very humbling. Anyway, reach out if you like what I'm doing, it would mean a lot to me right now

Baltimore (as an aside, anyone with an iphone should download the negativeme app, that's how I'm posting all of these images)

I love your "on the road" iPhone film scanner (?) presentation -- very raw & cool!

Yeah! It's this great little iPhone app called negative me, you just take a picture of the negative and the app turns it into a positive. Then I use the regular image editing software on my iPhone to adjust the contrast and lower the brightness a bit and it allows me to get a general sense of what I've shot. It works a lot better for medium format than 35mm, but I think that's because of the super small iPhone camera sensor.

Excellent tripping! I see you made it to the Texas Tavern.

Yeah! I went there when I was 20 a few years back before I started taking pictures. I drove through Roanoke this time specifically so I could go there again :)

I've been doing a fair amount of work with a fuji instant camera to keep my tumblr active as well.
