Upgrade M6TTL viewfinder in the UK

Does anyone know who does anti-flare viewfinder upgrades for M6 TTL cameras in the UK? Even better, does anyone know how much it is likely to cost in ripoff Britain?

You could try the usual suspects -- Malcolm Taylor and CRR -- but I suspect the job will be expensive. As it happens, recently I used a friend's M6 TTL for four rolls of film, in different lighting conditions, and had no real trouble.

I called Malcolm today, but he reckons only Leica can do it. Have emailed them for a price, but am not optimistic 🙁

Leica have quoted approximately 300 euros. Ulp!

not so bad!!!i thinked on 500 price range!maybe i can buy a used m2 and put a mp finder in it with 300 euro?the meter is included?🙄

why not send it overseas to DAG ?
As far as I remember he charged less than 200USD on my (former) M6

Certainly an option, but how do I avoid paying VAT on the camera when it returns to the UK?

Don should be able to return it "Returned/Repair" on our customs form. I think that avoids the tax, but I could be mistaken. I sent a lens back there once and was told that was the way to avoid it. Check with him to make sure.
