I have added an Upload menu to the gallery. When you click on this option, you will be allowed to upload from a file on your PC or from a URL.
This features has been requestedin th epast and I thought I would add it in. Please report any issues since I just did this spontaneously

This is awesome. No more re-sizing a special file for upload to the gallery.
Since Flickr started offering a full terra for free and no size limit I just push everything up there to the "Flickrcloud" full size.

Does this also allow for images to be uploaded to the classifieds for items for sale ?
No. Sorry. I wrote gallery software. Someone else did classifieds.

I attached a 1024 from flikr.
Standard sizes there that might be relevant are 800,1024, and 1600.
What is the gallery max... 1500?
Can we wiggle it to 1600?
I feel like an Ass asking for further improvements but this one more thing might be worth it.
I'm assuming a majority of us use flikr for this sort of thing.

Had to use 800 or else the file size would be too big.
Or 1024 if the picture is good for JPG compression
