What is the upload limit now?
I suddenly only got 150 Kb?
I don't think that is what I paid for...

What is the width in pixels of the image you are trying to upload?

I believe there is a 900 pixel max.

Also, the majority of subscriptions are expiring in April and all members will have the same benefits once they have all passed.

That explains it then.I got an e-mail to renew my subscription, and when I tried to do so, I was told there are no subscriptions available. I thought that was because it had been renewed automatically. So 150Kb it is? A pity, one loses the look of a photo then. I'll have to upgrade my photobucket account and start keeping my gallery there, or maybe Flickr.:( Any recommendations for a more upmarket one?

It's not very expensive to get a domain name and some server space. You could make your own website with gallery and portfolio etc.

If you're going to pay money for it, you might as well go the most professional looking route for the same bux.

www.jaapv.nl looks better than www.flickr.com/photos/jaap or jaap.blogspot.com.

I never liked them in te first place...;)

I must admit that 150kb may pose a problem for me since I tend to go above that slightly - A question to you guys - is it just a matter of increasing the compression of the jpg when creating it in order to get the file size down to below 150kb?

Try Zenfolio.com. Unlimited storage for $40 per year. Great interface and superb design. Free 2 weeks trial.

I had to do my first one the other day - it seems that for black and white going down to 700 pixels on the long side and 85% jpg quality is enough to get below 150 kb. At 800 and 100% they're over 300 kb.

I guess we can cope...

I'm with John. Quality over quantity. In the meantime, I've deleted my gallery here and have gotten my own domain name and server to host my pics.

I'd be very happy to see a one photo a day limit, with no filesize limitations.

Jon's right, that would work for me. Besides I'm lucky If I can get one gallery worthy image a month. JimG
