Hello,

I have 2 LTM bodies and lenses in need of CLA:

IIIc Summar and IIIf Summarit

DAG and others have very long lead times.

Has anyone used:

Vermont Camera Works Pittsford, Vermont
Eurotech Camera Austin, Tx

Thank you !

I've used Vermont camera works a number of times and have been pleased with his work and price. Plus he is a nice hour or so ride from my place on scenic Vermont back roads. He also has a few vintage cameras for sale.

I also just got a IIIf with 5cm f/3.5 Elmar back from YYE a few weeks ago. I too paid for his expedited service and it took less than two weeks between sending it to him and getting it back. He CLA'd the body, repaired a broken exposure counter, replaced the shutter curtains, and CLA'd the lens. The grand total was ~$500 including the expedited service fee.

I've had him service my IIIg in the past.

In both cases, he did excellent work.

YYE CLA'd a couple of lenses with my IIIf too: Summitar 5cm f/2 collapsible & Canon Serenar 35mm f/3.2. The total expedited was $590 which I felt was very reasonable.
My IIIg has been pretty solid so far but if it needs service this is where I'm going to send it.

Much safer to send them to DAG. It may be longer or more expensive but you can trust his service. I personally lost 7 months & $200 by not choosing him in the first place.

Just as a point of reference, I sent DAG my lllc on October 30, 2024 and haven’t heard anything back yet. Not in a rush as I have more than enough cameras to keep me busy but I did want the work done by Mr Goldberg

But both my Leica IIIc and Leotax f that YYE CLA'ed are working great. The IIIC needed a beam splitter and just a general CLA. The Leotax needed a new shutter curtain ribbon.

I didn't pay for the expedited service, and the wait time was close to a year.
